Salicylic Acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that aids acne prone skin and rosacea skin types.
Salicylic acid is a gel based beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) with a powerful keratolytic, comedolytic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect. It enables the breakdown of the intercellular cement, reducing the adhesion of corneocytes and encouraging superficial skin restructuring without producing inflammatory infiltration. Moreover, because of its lipophilicity, it easily penetrates the pilosebaceous ducts, controlling sebaceous secretion.
Mesopeel Salicylic peels are suitable for all skin types, particularly dry skins, those with a tendency to hyperkeratinisation and oily, acne prone, comedonegic and/or seborrhoeic skins. It is also recommended for areas of the body such as the upper limbs, back, knees, elbows, etc.
